iOrderUP ("iOrderUP," "we," "us," or "our") provides AI-powered telephone answering services for restaurants, food trucks, and other businesses. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when our AI phone assistant handles a call on behalf of a business we work with, how we use and protect that information, who we share it with, and how you can request access to or deletion of your information.
1. Information We Collect
When our AI phone assistant answers a call for one of our business customers, we may collect the following information directly from the call:
- Caller information: the customer's name, as provided during the call, and their phone number (captured automatically via caller ID or provided verbally).
- Order details: items ordered, quantities, prices, special instructions, substitutions, and allergy or dietary notes.
- Call content: the audio and/or a text transcript of the call, which may include questions asked and answers given during the conversation.
- Call metadata: the date, time, duration, and outcome of the call (for example, whether it resulted in a completed order or a transfer to staff).
We do not knowingly collect payment card information, government identification numbers, or other sensitive personal information through phone calls. Callers should not provide this type of information to the assistant.
2. How We Use This Information
We use the information collected during calls to:
- Take, confirm, and relay customer orders to the business being called;
- Answer questions about the business, such as menu items, pricing, and hours;
- Route or transfer calls to a staff member when needed;
- Improve the accuracy and reliability of the AI assistant for the business it serves;
- Provide customer support and resolve issues related to a specific call or order; and
- Meet legal, security, and record-keeping obligations.
We do not sell caller information, and we do not use call content to serve third-party advertising.
3. How Information Is Stored and Protected
Call data and order information are stored on secure, access-controlled systems. We apply industry-standard safeguards, including encryption of data in transit and restricted access limited to personnel and systems that need the information to operate the service. Information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill orders, support the business we serve, and meet legal or operational requirements, after which it is deleted or de-identified.
4. Who We Share Information With
We share call and order information only as necessary to operate the service, including with:
- The business you called (for example, the restaurant or food truck), so that your order or request can be fulfilled;
- Infrastructure and service providers that support our platform, such as telephony and voice-processing providers, cloud hosting providers, and speech-to-text or AI language processing providers, solely to enable the assistant to answer and process calls; and
- Legal or regulatory authorities where required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of iOrderUP, our business customers, or others.
These providers are only permitted to use call information to provide services to iOrderUP and are not permitted to use it for their own independent purposes.
5. Your Choices and Rights
If you spoke with an iOrderUP AI phone assistant and would like to request access to, a copy of, or deletion of the information collected during that call, you may contact us using the information below. We will respond to verified requests within a reasonable timeframe and take reasonable steps to confirm your identity and the call in question before fulfilling a request.
6. Children's Privacy
Our service is intended for use by businesses and their adult customers. We do not knowingly collect information from children through our phone assistant.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal or operational reasons. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
